For the past 4 years we've been living in a block of flats/ apartment building and trick or treaters don't come here. Also this year there was nobody else my kids could go with so I wouldn't even be home (I could just chill in front of the building and give the sweets out otherwise). So I bought a bunch of chocolate stuff (full size bars, ok 😁✌️) and sweets. I had those cone shaped cute plastic bags so I used them to make packets of sweets as I had mini bags and some loose pieces so I made bigger portions. I gave it out to kids we came across in the streets and if there was a kid answering the door we'd give them some as well. It was so cute and fun, kids were so happy, I guess it was such a bonus to get some treats without even having to ask 😁 there was one mom with the cutest little boy and I think it must have been their first trick or treating (immigrants, I grew up without Halloween too 😭😭😭) and when I offered them sweets she was like "OH REALLY?? 😳😳 for me too?? 🥹" And I was like SURE, HAVE SOME! And she literally squeaked, she was so excited and happy 💙💙💙 I will never not do that again 😅😅💙💙 also- one day a year when a genuine kid lover can give out sweets to cute, excited random kiddos without getting arrested 🤣🤣🤣🤣✌️✌️✌️
