I got laid off this morning. No compensation, no severance, and they’re cutting off their contribution to my health insurance. They also advised we don’t access our vacation pay even though we’re all getting half a paycheque in a week’s time. They say it will impact our EI which is not true. They don’t want to take the hit on payroll.

Bunch of corporate bullshit. I’m not gonna share my company name at this time while I explore options, but when all this is over, I will let everybody know who turfed me while sending out PR statements saying they are looking after their team members.
