I am reaching out to see if anyone has any suggestions on finding housing in this city. Recently the tenancy board ruled against me. I have 90 days to find a place to live. It’s just my partner, myself and our fixed indoor cat, we both have stable full time jobs, landlord references, can provide paystubs etc. The reason the tenancy board ruled against us was due to a renoviction. We can also provide proof of that. I’ve been applying to management company websites, kijiji ads and everything in between. Is there some secret I am missing? I know we are in a housing crisis but I’m desperate at this point. We can afford to pay $1,800 a month and still cannot seem to find anything. Any suggestions welcome at this point.
