I've been a hairstylist for a little under a year (did 17 months of training to get my certificate before that) and I just fried my first hair, which is already bad enough, but it wasn't a client's hair, it was my grandmother's. I tried my best to fix it but the haircut looks a bit of a mess because I was nervous, and the colour is just not right. She's very calm, says it's okay and nobody's perfect, but my guilt is wrecking me. I feel like a horrible professional and a horrible granddaughter.
Sorry if this post is a mess, I'm just really nervous and can't think straight. Worst of all, we have a family celebration on Sunday and I don't want her to look bad. This is the first time I've experienced something go so wrong so fast, and I'm not really sure how to proceed. I know this is 100% my fault and she's acting like it's fine but I know it's because she loves me and not because it's actually fine.
I'm sorry again if this post isn't allowed or is in the wrong sub, maybe I should just post this somewhere else, but I wanted to know if any of you have any advice or something. Her hair is chin-length now, so I'm not sure what I can do to fix it. (It wasn't long before, it was maybe 3 fingers longer)
