Hello!

I have decided ro try and do my own hair highlights I watched a few videos and it seems pretty simple.

I am a guy with short and dark brown hair. I just wanted to achieve some more lighter kind of dark carmel colored (not really blond maybe a light brown) streaks to provide more texture and difference in my hair.

My hair is virgin.

I bought a bleach kit schwarzkopf (the powder with the 30 volume mixture). And plan on just putting little streaks of it in my hair and Maybe letting it stay for 20 minutes to see how the color turns out.

I feel like this is pretty simple is there anything I should be worried about. Been hearing so many horror stories but I am just trying to do a few streaks of hair lightening. Nothing crazy.

Do I need toner? I am really not looking to go To a blond just a lighter brown.

Can anyone give me some advice it's my first time trying this on my own?
