Fukurodani or Kamomedai should’ve won instead of an unknown team we barely got to see. Seeing how Itachiyama exited they should have came back the next year to win instead of taking it from Karasuno on year 3. Obviously Karasuno deserves one and since they couldn’t do it with the 3rd or 2nd years and seeing Karasuno finally becoming a powerhouse team, winning a national for the first time would have been a good send off to high school and the team. Rereading the last two matches and how national ended so quick after the final match, we could’ve gotten the best stuff out of Haikyuu during the next two years. The only team I could see making it top 8 or higher is Date Tech honestly. I have so many questions just regarding Karasuno and what happened to the school over the years. It doesn’t seem like they ever become a famous school since we never saw any new players besides years later. Also curious is Nishinoya stayed after Asahi left or left after he retired. I would think year 2 Karasuno if everyone stayed, would’ve been their best lineup to win nationals.Best thing about Haikyuu is how realistic it is but missing out on 2 years of matches is the worst thing we got from it.
