Have connection issues accessing the "LAME" machine.

I just started the Beginner Track and tried connecting to the LAME machine and the nmap scan shows the host is down when pinging. I am connected to the open vpn and I am also able to access other machines like Blunder just not the ones in Beginner Track. Can anyone help me?
