Budget build (313€) 10.14.5
Post Body

My friend wanted a capable everyday hackintosh on a budget, so I came up with this:

- Intel i3 8100

- Gigabyte H310M A

- 2x Geil 8gb DDR4 2666MHz

- Kingston A400 240gb ssd

Added up with the Chieftec 500W PSU it came to 313€. We bought everything locally and managed to save up 20€ off the initial prices. The board is pretty cool because it has both HDMI and DP, and a m.2 slot. Bios settings are extensive on the latest bios (F12) and ideal for a hack setup. Stock Intel cooler is trash IMO as it is louder than I expected so it will probably get replaced with L9i in the coming weeks. SSD is noticeably slower than my Samsung sata ssd's but it gets the job done for 30€. I went for a 500W PSU because of the further upgradeability down the road (probably RX 570-580).

As for the installation, I went with the vanilla 10.14.5. Had to fix iGPU post install because of the known UHD 630 issues, but I patched framebuffer using hackintool and now have both HDMI & DP working. Also had to fix audio with the proper ID, which fixed both the board audio and audio over HDMI. Surprisingly enough, I had the easiest time patching USB's and now have all of the USB ports working. The only thing left to patch is sleep mode, after that I'm going to post a full how-to for this board on my github.
