Hi! I am new here and building my first hackintosh.
I've worked for years on a Hackintosh machine at work (video editing, motion and color grading) and it was great most of the time for the great performance. But some headaches too on some occasions.
Most of the bad experience was because some the Mac features wouldn't work (airdrop, some USB ports, wireless, bluetooth) Also some crashes too, but mostly due the lack of proper cooler we figured after a while.
But can't complain, since I was not the person responsible for the maintenance. They did a great job!
Now is time to make my own hack machine.
Just wondering if anyone could give me any tips or ideas based on this list of hardware I've managed to put together with my supplier:
โ 1x Intelยฎ Core i7-8700
โ 1x Water Cooler Radiador 240MM High Performance
โ 1x Motherboard Z390m Gaming Gigabyte
โ 2x Ram Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (8GB)
โ 1x 250gb Samsung Evo 960 M.2 M2 Nvme Ssd Hd Pc Mac
โ 1x Graphic Card GIGABYTE RADEON RX 580 8GB 256BITS GDDR5 PCI-E
3XDP 2XHDMI DVI-D GV-RX580GAMING-8GD
โ 1x Font ATX 750w 80Plus
Really appreciate any help ;-)
why not go for a cheaper mobo if you won't overclock?

Oh okay, I see!
Some Intel CPUs have a "k" at the end of the 4 digit numbers. The overclockable version of it would be the i7-8700k, and they're usually a tad bit more expensive and require more cooling.
With a normal 8700 you can't overclock and an AIO cooler is probably overkill?
Depending on which one you choose you can change the total price of the entire build quite a bit!
