My mom had been feeling a little ill a few days before Thanksgiving and took a covid test and was negative. We had a few family members coming over, flying in from out of state, and we have some compromised immune systems between our families. I went into her room and she had a little cough and she said "don't come in! what if this is covid related [iggy]? and if it is what are we gonna do about it?" and I paused for a second because it tingled my brain, I was thinking to myself, wait did I just hear that correctly. and then she started repeating herself and I burst out laughing at her so hard while she was pleading with me how sad she will be if we have to cancel thanksgiving because of her. I couldn't stop myself, but as I tried to explain myself to her it just got worse because I was trying to say what it was referencing without saying it exactly and it was just a big mess. everything worked out though, no covid, and she thinks howie is a weirdo now.
