I am planning to go for STEM masters as an international student in USA on F1 with the intent of opt, H1B and finally a GC. People who are in masters or are really graduated can you answer this ?
Post Body

I did some fair research and saw that even 65,000 and extra 20,000 spots designed for masters is not enough now to give me a confirmation on H1b selection if we apply for 3 year extension which we get on OPT.

The applications skyrocketed to 700,000 applications. Is paying 40,000$-50,000$ tuition fee worth it now ?

People who secured opt and applied for H1b and your colleagues. Are you guys getting selected. Can you let me know what are the probability.

Or If you guys know your friends who were not able to secure h1b, what are their options that they are considering?

The magnet here is to work in usa for high salary and network with amazing people. And to stay in usa.
