I've been smoking since 1st year of college (August 2019). Back then the number of my cigarettes were very less. Only like a couple cigarettes a week. At max, one cigarette a day. Then lockdown came into action in 2020 and gave me a 2 year break from smoking. After that when college resumed, I started smoking again. It was still only like 1 cigarette a day at max.
After college I started with my job in Gurgaon in July 2023. Since then I've been smoking multiple cigarettes a day. As I got a few into this habit and I could sense that my body is getting weaker but I still continued. I was smoking 3-4 cigarettes a day, sometimes more. Many times I even finished an entire pack in a night or so.
Yesterday night I realised that I was sensing the bad effects of cigarettes in the early days itself but I didnt stop. I've been smoking too much now and my health has never been this worse. I dont jave any coughing or other major symptoms but I feel like Im destroyed from the inside.
Is it too late to stop now ? Or can this be reversed ? If not reversed, can this be slightly better if I stop today itself ?
I only expect responses from people who actually went through this same thing or are qualified for this kind of diagnosis (doctors and such)
Also, how can I get myself tested for the effect of cigarettes on me ?
