Iโve torn off some of the paint (have paint laying around thank Christ) but I canโt get this fucking thing off not matter what I try to do. What do yall recommend. I have never come across one so absolutely immovable.
Are you using the right tool or are you using just whatever you've got laying around? Judging by the marks, I'm guessing you don't have the armorer's wrench. A basic one is worth the money if you're going to be doing work on an AR for just this reason.
I'd also be sure you're turning in the right direction. That isn't to imply you're stupid but we all occasionally make mistakes.
A magwell block will also be helpful but isn't essential.
If it's still a no-go, I'd try applying some heat via a heat gun and maybe a drop or two of very thin oil such that it wicks into the threads.
Someone may have used threadlocker instead of staking it. If the nut is steel and the tube aluminum there may be some galvanic corrosion going on which means they're kind of welded together. Not impossible to fix but a pain and a lesson as to why we always grease the threads before we put a castle nut on.

I would start with a heat gun before you go for a torch.
