ATI 1911s. Anyone have any experience with them?

I am looking at purchasing my first handgun, which is going to double as a carry gun. Currently I have my heart set on an ATI Titan II single stack .45 in the 3 inch version. I really like this gun, but I intend to carry it, so I wish to be pragmatic in my decision to buy it or not. Are they reliable? Any quirks I need to be aware of?
I have done as much homework as I can, and have not heard much in the way of negative reviews. Just wanted to ask reddit.
Also, budget is less than $500.
