Browning A5 light 12 gauge, interchangeable with Sweet 16 barrel?

I have a 1950’s Browning A5 light (2 3/4 only) that has an ugly barrel with an old Lyman choke. While cleaning out my grandma’s closet we discovered an old Sweet 16 barrel that was missed when someone stole his three Sweet 16’s in the 1990’s. It got me thinking . . . Could I change the receiver and swap the barrels on my 12 to the 16?
