(US) Would not the taking of weapons by the government (state or federal) require compensation?
Post Body
https://www.infowars.com/oregon-initiative-requires-gun-owners-to-surrender-assault-weapons/ I am only a bit familiar with takings in a real property situation. Is there an equivalent requirement driven by the U.S. Constitution that requires compensation for taking legally owned personal property?
