Boss TU-2 - Lots of noise when using both output and bypass jacks.
Post Body

I have a Boss TU-2 pedal I recently picked up used which, other than my issue below, seems to be working great.

However, if I have both the output and bypass jacks plugged in, I am getting a ton of noise on my outputs. I have read elsewhere that this configuration should be OK and is a benefit of a pedal like this, with an output and bypass jack.

Currently, I have the standard output going to my amp and the bypass output connected to my computer, via a Rocksmith cable. My idea being, I can use either output, without having to mess with cables all the time.

It's very possible the noise is coming from my computer via the Rocksmith cable, though I do not have any noise in the system otherwise, when leaving the cable to the amp unplugged.

When I opened the peddle to see if anything was wrong internally, I noticed the output jacks were only using the chassis as a ground, and the ground pin on the jack itself was left floating. Could soldering a ground wire between the input and two output jacks help with this issue?

If I can't resolve this, I'll probably build an A/B pedal for my output.

I appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks!
