I have a Walrus Audio fable that I grabbed after getting comfortable with 1) playing after over a decade of idleness and 2) getting used to the tone range of a Vox AC30.
I love this pedal, lots of versatility in the five programs, lots of ways to dial it down (less weird, more basic effects that remind me of playing in 1997-2004 with old school Boss pedals), lots of ways to make it weirder.
Trying to figure out what Fuzz and Distortion pedals (and honestly, not sure I need both) I want to combine with this.
If anyone's got suggestions or things they've either LIKED or tried and didn't like, I'd love feedback.
A) I generally am aiming for a spacey sound that transitions into some pretty fuzzy parts, a little droney/psych rock oriented.
B) I never really got the hang of dialing in good distortion or fuzz before I put down guitar in my early 30s. I really lean toward a blend of post-rock/post-metal with post-hardcore bass heavy stuff but
C) also listen to a lot of electronic and have been dabbling in writing jazzy-ish lo-fi that I suspect I could have fun with fuzzed out leads over for a different kind of feel.
