I got the JRAD hot rubber monkey v2 over the weekend and couldn’t be happier. Initial observations from running it through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe:

• It is an incredibly well built pedal. It’s heavy and could be used for home defense in the event of a home intrusion.

• Tone is full-bodied and thick overdriven tone, but never in a distorted way. It ventures into slight breakup but never overbearing. If it were a food it would be a warm oversized cinnamon bun with just the right amount of icing and sugar flakes. Not too sweet, warm, and hits the spot.

• When gain is dialed way down acts as an excellent boost.

• The top end and mid-range controls are pretty cool features that create a range of possibilities. TBH I’m still trying to dial everything in but I honestly can’t make it sound bad. I’m pretty okay at making pedals sound bad.

• It pairs well with other ods I have and makes all pedals I’ve stacked with it sound better (JB Archer, Sparkle drive Keely mod, T-Rex Gristle King, full drive mosfet, and Klon ktr).

• It’s quite possibly the loudest pedal I’ve ever had possible additional home invasion defense measure?

• No seriously this thing is freaking loud.
