Boss GT-1 For Indie Gigging and Recording
Post Body

Hey everyone. Complete tone noob here.

Been a bedroom guitarist for a couple of years. Always used the stock effects of my Katana 50 MK2 Combo and just fucked around with a lot of metal.

Anyway, I'm taking songwriting more seriously with the intention of gigging. Considering the GT-1 as a financially and space economic option for broadening my effects options and finding my tone. I live in a small bedroom with housemates so the option for headphones or use as a PC interface seems to suit me quite well.

Do you think it would be plausible for me to run the GT-1 through my Katana 50 for a British indie/new wave sound? I want to replicate the sounds of say Johnny Marr and John Squire (Smiths and Stone Roses). Already have an appropriate Epiphone LP Custom and Fender Vinterra Mustang for single coil and humbucker sounds. Do you think this "rig" could appropriately and effectively capture that sound? Am I an idiot? Cheers.
