Feels like I'm stuck in limbo; I know my scales and plenty of licks, but I'm not sure where to go from there.

Post Body

I feel like this is probably pretty common for people learning guitar, but I feel like I can bust out plenty memorized licks and I know my scales(with some cursory knowledge of modes and such) and chords fairly well, but I really don't know where to go. It's honestly frustrating now to pick up my guitar because all I can do is play the songs I've memorized and do some basic, very repetitive noodling on scales with some licks peppered in. I don't even really know what the next step is in learning guitar. Like I said, I imagine this is a common experience, so for people who were once in my shoes, what did you do to break out this?
