With the fact that I will always be a cowboy chord campfire strummer. And I'm ok with that. I have found that there are a whole lot of enjoyable songs I can play with about 7 chords. I have a tough time with Barre chords, so I work on them a little here and there. I picked this up a little over a year ago to relax and have fun. No need in constantly stressing over if I am "good enough". My biggest mark of success is when my wife pokes her head around the corner and says "Hey, is that...?". Makes me feel like I'm actually playing music instead of just plinking on the strings.
Sorry for the ramble. Just thought there may be someone else out there that needed to hear that it's ok if you are never EVH, SRV or any other cool guitar player. There's a whole lot of fun that can be found with A,D, and E.
