Hi everyone! So I have two female guinea pigs (Salt and Pepper) and they're about 3 months old now. They have completely opposite personalities. Pepper is a super chill, still a bit skittish and very curious piggie. Salt is very impatient, super skittish and hyper, and she bosses Pepper around a lot.
Thing is, Salt has been doing dominance sounds more often (low-fi purr and butt shakes), and pushes Pepper out of any hidey she is, and when they're eating Salt stands really close to Pepper, so Pepper can't really reach the food properly, she also steals her food sometimes... Sometimes they have little misunderstandings, but never got to the point of real fighting (that I know of)
Is this normal behaviour? Will it calm down eventually?
I have a 46cmx120cm cage, and planning to expand a bit more in the future.
Any advice will be highly appreciated! Thank you!
