Its been a little over 2 months since I got him to be a cage mate to my other piggy. He is such a sweetie but I can’t pick him up still. I’ve been holding my other piggy everyday but he’s a skinny pig, easier to grab when they have no hair. My fur baby Milo won’t even let me touch him I can barely touch him before he runs. I got him from a home with a bunch of other guinea pigs and a rabbit. They were all in the same cage. Could this be some type of trauma? He is 1 years old. I knitting a bag for him to go into and I put a snack in so I can just pick him up but I have to be quick. I never hold him and I feel so bad when I go to pick up my skinny pig when he begs for attention and leave my fur baby inside.

Side note: he bit my foot while he was out on the floor exploring. He is not afraid when I am walking around or sitting around. As long as I don’t make sudden movements with my hands. He tries to nip when I force him to be held but he is usually calm. What should I do to continue to earn his trust? I feel like a legit parent 😂
