As of the middle of the week I've been completely unable to connect to social club. I'm able to sign into the client, connect periodically, however after a few seconds I'm repeatedly disconnected and relegated to story mode. I verified my social club details in my browser, submitted a ticket and eventually worked through all the gruelling stages provided on the support page including Port Forwarding, PPoE settings, DNS settings and other quite intense fixes using the help of a PC savvy friend and teamviewer.

I was pretty disappointed that after four or five hours of work arounds that I was still locked out of online, and playing with my friends. Eventually after further forum trawling I came upon a fix whereby I created a new windows user profile, copied my MYDocuments/Rockstar Games folder across and am able to access online again.

Is anyone else having similar issues ? Did this fix work for you? There's no official acknowledgement from R* that I've seen on this problem, so I'd like to learn more and hopefully help others who find themselves in the same situation.
