Do Your Doctors Share Your Lab Results with You?
Post Body

I’m considering switching my primary care doctor here in Greensboro and I wanted to see y’all’s experience with doctors here.

My doctor withholds my blood work until we can meet. Problem is my appointment has been moved three times (doctor got sick, then I had a work conflict, now she’s facing a family emergency). I took my labs in late November and I’ve expressed to the office I have anxiety about my results because of dietary changes I’ve made and I that I just want to see my results. But they’re not budging - “sorry only the doctor has those results and she’s out of town for two weeks.”

Red flag? Normal doctor BS? What do y’all think.

EDIT: Thank you, y’all have been absolutely helpful. I’m looking for a new doctor now. I know there’s been some threads on this before but I’m happy to take any recommendations you may have.

Comments

I go to eagle physicians in Oak Ridge (and their walk in clinic when necessary) and my labs are uploaded to my patient portal that I can view at any time.

Before reading all the comments I posted my own. Also suggesting Eagle Physicians as I go to the Oak Ridge location.
