So I've been driving for grubhub and doordash for a few years in New jersey. Now unfortunately for drivers in New jersey, grubhub provides no driver coverage if there are accidents, they expect you to get rideshare insurance. Problem is, in new jersey, car insurance companies offer rideshare insurance that only covers you on your way to a rider or picking up a delivery. Not during the actual delivery. I dont know if im missing something, but that can't be legal. And im getting royally screwed because of this. Cause in February I was in an accident while delivering that I was not found at fault for. I had insurance. Unfortunately I made the mistake of being honest and mentioning I was on a delivery for grubhub. Which in turn made my insurance deny my claim, and left me in a fishy legal battle with the driver who was at fault because now they are lying and trying to come after me since my insurance denied my claim. Now I work for 4 rideshare companies in total, every other one has some kind of coverage for drivers if there is an accident. So I assumed it was the same for grubhub. Is there anyway for me to fight this? Can I sue grubhub or the state of New jersey, there is no way they can do this to people
