[Feedback] Dire circumstances have put me in charge of monetizing a software. The product has a brilliant USP in theory, but the 70+ people who showed interest didn't venture past sign-up. I'm trying to understand why (Further details inside).

Post Body

Problem We're Trying To Solve: Workflow optimization is always a possibility within 90% of SMEs and Startups across the globe, but the opportunities to optimize often go unnoticed, flying right past the radar. It goes without saying that, optimizing workflow can ultimately lead to an increase in profits, as well as organizational efficiency (saving everyone involved significant time). Unfortunately, there aren't many simple nor familiar tools out there that allow a business owner/start-up entrepreneur to conveniently gauge how well his/her team is functioning.

Solution: A web-based software with an iOS/Android counterpart that acts as a digital all-in-one workflow-entry portal and, by means of clever algorithms, simultaneously acts as an effectivity gauge. This product can be used to document and assign everything from meetings, to projects, to tasks, to even actions taken under specific tasks. The way the product is designed both on the mobile and on the web is such that it draws each user's attention to the two most relevant things for the day: What work they need to complete/begin/report on, and, where work related to them is stuck.

Target Customer: Business owners/start-up founders looking to leverage 21st century tech and data to gain insights on their organization's efficiency in order to recognize and address any performance-hindering bottlenecks - while also looking to digitize their workflow so nothing slips through the cracks, and everything work-related is in a single secure enclave instead of all over the place.

In A Nutshell: Run your office from your smartphone/laptop via this software and in doing so automatically begin to generate data on how smoothly things are running, so as to take the necessary corrective actions as and when required resulting in frequent, data-backed workflow optimization.

Honest Cons: The software is a bootstrap software so far, while nice looking (Material Design), it isn't up to 2017 standards of speed. We haven't even been able to utilize Angular.JS because of skillset and financial constraints. Our Android/iOS app are partially native, again resulting in a decent experience but nothing compared to Asana or other 2017 benchmarks. While this isn't a deal breaker, it certainly isn't fun to use, but we are actively working on that.

I have until March next year to repackage it in a new manner and attempt to sell it one last time abroad (hoping that the western audience 'gets it' more than the mainly Indian audience we showed it to). If it doesn't gain traction, we're pulling the plug. The thing is, I think this is a really neat idea and I enjoy taking on the challenge of making something substantial from humble beginnings. So I want to hear from you what you think is missing that is causing the disconnect between vision and execution.

Give me all the advice/criticism/feedback you've got. I'm only here to listen... You can sign-up here: www.taskmeet.com

Thank you for reading so far, and showing any interest at all :) Peace
