Open Question, especially for /u/Fuck_Blue_Shells: Is a "grilled cheese" made with pimento cheese a grilled cheese or a melt?

Two-years ago, /u/Fuck_Blue_Shells blessed us with a grilled cheese manifesto of sorts. The TL;DR version of this literary gem is that a grilled cheese is defined as a sandwich w/ bread cheese some sort of spread (butter, mayo, etc...). So where then does that leave Pimento Cheese, the South's great contribution to cholesterol problems? For those that are unfamiliar, pimento cheese is essentially a cheddar cheese spread doctored up with pimentos, & mayo. Variations of all kind exist, and most all of those still qualify as "genuine pimento cheese." E.g. some people require bacon in their pimento. So to that end - have we found a grilled cheese anomaly? is this to be considered just a regular grilled cheese or do we give it the Roger Maris treatment (aka with an asterisk) ... what say you my dedicated devotees of these melted concotions of amazement?
