Anyone else getting freezes when crossing the start line after this update?

Just starting playing after the new update and now every lap of a race, my game freezes for about half a second when crossing the start line. I assume it has something to do with recording/checking lap times, but it was never a problem before this update, and occurs even if I have selected 'play offline'.
