How do you prevent/deal with these ice balls building up on their feet?

My girl can’t get enough of the snow but she gets these ice balls on all of her feet which hurt her. Eventually she’ll down and won’t walk or will only walk in the soft snow.

we got dog socks on amazon for like $10. they velcro on and it keeps the snow off her toes
