Splenda, the puppy we found in bad shape near the woods, went home today with a foster family through a wonderful organization called Dallas Street Dog Advocates. She will receive all necessary medical treatment, and then will be available to adopt in the Dallas area.

She came into my life just a few days after my first dog, Sugar, passed away. Though I could not give her a forever home, she has a permanent place in my heart. I only got one month with her, and was constantly amazed by her intellect, curiosity, wit, and playfully rebellious nature. She is such a perceptive creature and whoever gets to keep her will be so lucky. And now I know the magic of the Great Pyrenees breed ❤️
