Post Body

My partner is a firefighter in Dallas, and some folks from his station found a beautiful Pyr puppy, near a forest. She was severely underweight, had fleas, but is the sweetest thing. I have been taking care of her for the last three weeks and she has her first two rounds of vaccines. Our vet estimates that she is now 15ish weeks old.

I can’t keep her, and don’t know very many people in the area. I left a message with a local Great Pyrenees rescue org but haven’t heard back.

She is such an amazing dog — in three short weeks, she is mostly potty-trained and crate trained. She knows a few commands. I am heartbroken that I can’t keep her and really want her to go to a loving home. Does anybody have advice about what to do?
