Food food and more food
Post Body

Edit!! If anyone finds themselves struggling with the same issue we figured out our Danes issue. She has to eat hypoallergenic food. It’s the only brand that doesn’t give her the runs. Currently on her third bag of Royal Canin. She loves it and we love not having any more messes! Plus it’s perfectly suited for giant breeds.

Hey everyone wanted to ask about what type of food y’all feed successfully to your young Danes? Ours is 6 months and we’re struggling big time with what her stomach can handle.

TLDR - fed Nutro large Breed puppy successfully for two - three months when she was very young. Then suddenly triggered soupy diarrhea. Told the vet and they recommended Purina Pro Plan, tried to introduce slowly per her orders. (1/4 cup worked up in increments through the week) we hit a full cup and boom diarrhea. A buddy of mine feeds his shepherd with a sensitive tummy nutrisource large breed turkey and white fish. Same thing. Slowly increase food then bam diarrhea.

I figure one of two things is happening,

She still hasn’t found a good she agrees with Or

She needs more time than a week adjusting to a food.

We got her stool tested, no issues there. Other than her tummy issues she’s a perfect little Dane.

Any advice? Input? About a month of perpetual diarrhea has us STRESSED.
