So we’d been wanting our first Great Dane for a while and we got Tiramisu at 8 weeks old from a nice little farm family who had taken in a Dane that they were told was spayed, which obviously was not the case since she wound up having puppies. We were told the mom was a Dane that they suspected was mixed with Catahoula Leopard (because of the spots) and that the dad was their very large chocolate Lab.

She is now 9 months and we just had a DNA test done out of curiosity and were surprised to learn she’s purebred Great Dane! Mom must’ve already been pregnant when they took her in. Now it makes sense why her weight and height have always aligned with Great Dane numbers. Thankfully we’ve raised her like a Dane when it comes to food and supplements and the like!

Our biggest question now is what her coat color would be considered? We’ve only seen one other Great Dane here that looks similar to her so we have no idea what to call her coat.
