So I’ve had an itch I haven’t been able to scratch lately. I just binged gravity falls for the third time in a row this month, because I love the both the “discovering truth behind mysterious supernatural forces” and “mysterious book full of ancient secrets” tropes.

I need more, and if I just keep rewatching it over and over again I’m just going to burn out and get tired of it (it’s happened with shows I like before). Are there any other shows, particularly animated, that can scratch a similar itch as Gravity Falls?

I‘ve rewatched Infinity Train, Owl House, Amphibia, and Steven Universe recently, which would be my normal go-to alternates, but those aren’t doing it for me right now.

Star vs The Forces of Evil I’ve had recommended before and tried watching, but it’s a little too silly for me.
