Okay, so - am I crazy? Is that just obvious to everyone else? Theory regarding Stanley and Bill...
Post Body

First post here, but long fan of the series - and that's why I want to know the communities opinion on Bill and Stanley at the end of the show. Considering that this focuses mainly on the very end of the show, with references to Curse of the time Pirates there are quite a lot of spoilers ahead... just in case anyone still hasn't seen or read it. :)

I have seen quite a few theories about Bill still being alive, given that Stan regains his memories shortly after them being erased... supposedly together with Bill. For me personally, that never made sense - because just before Stan punches Bill out of existence, he invokes the axolotl with that very prominent backwards message.

"A-X-O-L-O-T-L! My time has come to burn! I invoke the ancient power that I may return!"

And in the Curse of the time Pirates (even though canonity is dubious), the axolotl says the following:

Sixty degrees that come in threes.
Watches from within birch trees.
Saw his own dimension burn.
Misses home and can't return.
Says he's happy. He's a liar.
Blame the arson for the fire.
If he wants to shirk the blame,
He'll have to invoke my name.
One way to absolve his crime.
A different form, a different time.

Now that's the part that seemingly no one is talking about (maybe because it is just that obvious and I am stupid, but that's why I am asking XD). Because I was wondering: what if by invoking the Axolotl, Bill actually changed form and time - to literally absolve his crime. By becoming Stanley, the twin brother to Stanford. These two share the same voice actor (weak evidence, Alex seems to voice pretty much everyone in the show, but still!), the only ones calling Ford 'Sixer', are both scheming types, talking about the apocalypse and buying gold, etc... from what I heard in other theories, these are supposed to be clues that Stan is controlled by Bill, but what if Axolotl didn't send Bill forwards in time for a future spin-off or something - but *backwards*..? Giving him a new life in the form of a reborn human, Stan, close to Ford himself to make sure everything is set in motion to stop Bill at the end.

To me it would be such a nice twist - Bill trying to destroy the dimension, but in the end stopping himself in another form, coming from another time. This way making up for destroying one dimension by the saving another.

Ford already is such a special character, a genius, having the six fingers - *and* being a twin, to Stan, who is quite ordinary. So the latter always felt kinda 'forced in' in a way? And with Dipper and Mabel as the main protagonists, maybe Axolotl was inspired by that connection and entered a second pair of twins.

Maybe this is very obvious to anyone else or I am missing something big here, and that's why I haven't seen it anywhere, yet..?

Thank you in advance for your thoughts and opinions!
