Who was San Mateo County Jane Doe (2004)
Post Body

Here is another case of a Jane Doe with a picture of mysterious identity.

A niece and her daughter discovered a bag of skeletal remains inside a suitcase after the owner of the apartment Douglas Fitzgerald passed away. He was described as a recluse and very private person.

The forensic team described the skeleton as belonging to a white woman, about 75 years of age and 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall. Despite the suspicious nature of her discovery, a cause of death could not be determined.

Investigators believe that it may have belonged to Douglas's wife Anne Fitzgerald (pictured above) but are unsure as the couple left very little records in life and death. A friend claims that the two have grown up sons living somewhere in the East Coast but their exact whereabouts and identity could not be traced.
