Does anyone never actually physically draw anything, and really have only digital design experience?

Graphic design alone seems overwhelming. It seems like you need to have had already been an illustrator by paper and also have learned these programs.
I am an artist, I am mostly a musician. I donโt really draw on paper. But I also like editing/tracing/collaging photos together. They seem like separate things, I guess?
Iโm just curious to know your path in getting involved with graphic design
