Considering a career change TO Graphic Design...
Post Body

So I've been in IT for over 8 years now (from Tech Support to Systems Engineering) and I absolutely loath my job. I really don't want to do this type of work anymore, and I would like to get into something I've always had a "secret" passion for. Since the arts have ALWAYS been my "second" wheelhouse, I feel like if I were going to switch careers that this would be the most interesting of my viable options. So I want to hear from you what you think of it, what you hate about it, what you love about it, etc. What's it like on your side of the Isle? Do you work independently or for a corp? How did you get into it? Was this always your first option? Did you go to school for it?

I'd love to read your story if you're willing to share it.
