I’m a junior in college and I’ve been studying graphic design for 4 years. I’ve done some work for a company for a couple years, mascot stuff and creating a coloring book with 40ish pages. They paid me $15/hr and I would go in a couple days a week to do the book.
This book took a fair bit of time, I probably got a couple thousand dollars during my time there. Recently, another out-of-state company saw this book and wants me to make them a coloring book (remotely) for them. I am interested in this, but they asked me to give them a quote.
I’ve never given a quote for my design work. This book will only be 15 pages and require less from me. I don’t want to overcharge, but i also don’t want to undercharge. I’m interested in getting this experience no matter how much they pay me.
Does anybody have suggestions on how I should go about this and how I should price myself?
