Noob question about multiplayer

I tried to look around for this, but couldn't figure it out.
This will be my first gran turismo game, and i love playing online. Will the cars you need for daily races need to be bought or are you allowed to pick any car from that group?
For example, for daily race A, will you need to grind to unlock the cars for that race?
