Gran Turismo Sport currently has 324 cars available in the game.
Gran Turismo 7 has 425
This means in the last 5 years (Edit: 3 years as the count of 324 was made in 2019) they have added 100 cars. How many of them are actually newer cars as in 2019 models or newer. How many of them are not just slightly different versions of cars already modeled in the game?
Gran Turismo Sport also launched with a terrible set of offline features. (https://www.destructoid.com/gran-turismo-sport-is-barely-functional-when-offline/) Which means even though they expanded the offline features of GT Sport over time, they learned nothing and decided to go ahead and double down on the online only connection for a game that is mostly single player. Obviously to push microtransactions.
But there is laziness all round this game in terms of design. The menus are horrendous with the complete lack of shortcuts to anything in anyway. Even Gran Turismo 1 had at least a quick home page and a race shortcut on most screens.
The trophies earned on the PSN are literally the exact same image from GTS except with the new numbered logo instead.
We have plenty of tracks and plenty of track layouts to race on but a literal pittance of events to compete in. Wherein the past games had tons of events, cups and championships to race in.
This game launched with none of that. It was supposed to be a return to form for Gran Turismo and it feels like a rushed, microtransaction laden mess.
This next one may be a bit of a personal gripe... but...
I live in Colorado, more specifically in Colorado Springs, we have the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb here every year. Gran Turismo has been one of the lead sponsors of the race since the race in 2015. Many of the cars in the race sport the familiar Gran Turismo windshield wraps we all know so well. And yet we get a track based in Colorado Springs which I can assure you has no large lakes or a dirt race track anything like in the game, but not the actual Pikes Peak Hill Climb which WAS in Gran Turismo 2 and no other game before or since.
How is it The Real Driving Simulator can sponsor a race and yet not have that race in any of its games for the last 23 years?

But lets have a legit discussion as well. What other lazy designs have you seen in GT7?
