Penalties with no explanation of what they was issued for.

Sometimes this game will give you penalties but it won’t give you a reason why. Why is that? Can the game not decide what you have done wrong?
I was going into turn 1 at the Red Bull Ring, I went up the inside of the car in front, we touch slightly, I get a 4 second penalty but it didn’t give a reason why.
