Payout for races down?

Has anyone else noticed the payouts for races has been dramatically decreased since beach bum dropped? I came in first on the "criminal records" race and only got bout 3 grand with a full party. Usually the leader takes away 10 grand.
And good mod for a car is in the thousands or tens of thousands. And they have nice vehicles listed for millions of dollars worth. Not many many people play death match. It seems like survival is the only way to make any money. I'm don't wanna have to race a thousand times just to buy some rims for my bike
