I live in an apartment complex downtown and one of my neighbors randomly, but frequently plays extremely bass heavy loud music from 11pm-2am on the week nights. On the weekends, it's sporadic - but the music will sometimes go on for 8 hours straight (say 1pm - 9pm) then run throughout the weekend on and off all weekend (say 4am-6am, then start up again 10am for a few hours).
This individual was doing it every week, almost every night when the stay at home order started so I contacted my building manager who asked me to pinpoint which unit it comes from so that she could contact them directly. The issue is, I've gone to the hallway on my floor, the floor above and the floor below but it's hard to be sure where it's coming from. Additionally, once on a Sunday night - I knocked on the suspected person and they did not open the door (could be it's not this person, or that they're just passive aggressive).
Aside from trying to catch the possible 3-4 people who might be doing this at home and asking if it's them - what options do I have? Whomever is doing it obviously doesn't care - if I ask the building manager to contact this suspected person, s/he may stop for a week or two but just start again. I would call the non-emergency police department but because I can't pinpoint who is doing it - I'm reluctant. Any suggestions?
I work at home so being subjected to loud bass-heavy music for hours straight at a time gets extremely agitating.
