Hey yall. I spent the last couple weeks getting my hands on all the popular inks I could find. I wanted to see what would bleed through the most layers of paint. Here are the results of my testing.
The inks I tested are:
Sharpie Sharpie Industrial Sharpie Pro Pilot Super Color Devastator Machine Magic Flux Garvey MTN Street Ink Grog Buff Proof Ink Krink K-63 Ink OTR Hard To Buff Molotow Coversall Montana Bold BNIK Ink Smash Marsh T Grade Club Ghoul Clown Piss Club Ghoul Billy's Mix
I then went through and mixed many of these with a splash of Garvey to boost the bleed and tried a second test.
I did 4 coats of Killz primer with a roller. Here are the results.
There are a couple stand outs. The Club Ghoul Clown Piss is insane. Easily the winner of those tested but not everyone wants pink Ink.
The Garvey by itself takes second place but anyone who has used this knows it fades to nothing in just a few days in direct sunlight. For indoor use or mixing with other inks. And again, not everyone wants to write in purple.
The OTR Hard To Buff takes third place. Just by itself you can still see a ghost of it after 4 coats of primer. None of the other blacks I tried are readable after 4 coats.
The OTR Hard To Buff mixed with the Garvey takes first place in the Garvey mixed inks as well. After 4 coats is isn't just readable but EASILY readable. Here are all the pictures of my test. Hope this helps someone.
