So I just took the GRE today for the 2nd time and did well below what I've been scoring on my practice exams... Unofficial was 149Q, 149V, 4.5AW. I definitely see this as a average/below average score and I'm pretty disenchanted. Luckily some schools don't required the GRE anymore but some definitely still do. Based on the schools I'm applying to (most are special master's programs for biomedical sciences), realistically speaking, what are the chances I can get in?
A bit of background: I have about 4 years of work experience, having worked in both of Boston's major hospitals in a clinical capacity (MGH and BWH) and worked in pharma thereafter. I have a BA in Neuroscience from BU. I was hoping a strong GRE would offset my GPA (2.85) which, trust me, I know is terrible. I appreciate any and all feedback, harsh or not. Below are the schools I'm applying to:
Tufts, Columbia, Rutgers, BU, NYU, Loyola (Chicago), Ichan School Mt. Sinai, Drexel, Georgetown, West Virginia, Johns Hopkins, U of Michigan, U of Maryland, and U Miami.
Appreciate you all. Thank you!
