Advice regarding listing stuff that's not current on CV for master's program
Post Body

Hi all,

I'm applying to a master's program in psychological sciences (research-based program) that has rolling admissions for the Fall of 2019.

I'm looking to submit everything officially by early-mid March.

I'm including my CV in my application.

My question is: can I include items that I'm definitely going to be involved with, but have not currently "officially started"? I may "officially start" the activities before I officially submit the full application.

For example, I'm attending an annual conference for a well-known psychology-related organization in NJ (OCDNJ; part of IOCDF) that will be relevant to the program I'm applying to. It's on 3/13, though, and I may submit my full application before then (timing of submission is important for graduate assistantship funding consideration).

I'm also in the on-boarding process (e.g., fingerprinting, other paperwork) for a volunteer research assistant position at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, which I'll be involved with at the least until I start the program in the Fall of 2019 (pending admission). I interviewed with the psychiatric hospital a while back, and am set to start the volunteer work after on-boarding.

I'm also soon to start the training process of a part-time job working a call-line that provides behavioral health information, referral services, and supportive counseling, psycho-education, advocacy, and telephone case management that is relevant to the psychology program I'm applying to. My first day of training was scheduled on 2/20, but canceled due to snow. I'm in the process of rescheduling my first day of training with my two supervisors.

I interviewed and signed official paperwork for the training phase, which typically lasts about a month (depending on how I do, fit, supervisors' feedback, etc.), and then employment is typically seamless if I'm a good fit.

I believe the aforementioned will strengthen my application, so I want to include them on my CV when I officially submit.

Anything to keep in mind regarding listing them on my CV? I'm certain to be involved with these activities (the employment for the job isn't a certainty pending I'm not a good fit/don't do well in training/I don't like it).

Thanks so much.

With sincerity in mind,

Ritty
