Post Body

For one PhD application in Australia, my references are asked to use the school's Research Application Referee Report Form instead of writing a letter. It contains a survey of questions and asks at the bottom to write candidly about the applicant’s qualifications and suitability to undertake the proposed program. It also says on top,

" Your report is received on a confidential basis. However, you are encouraged to provide the applicant with a copy of this report."

I prefer not to have their reports shared with me so that they can be as candid as possible. How do I communicate this to my referees.
